PARTS 1 - 5:
The opening conflict as to whether or not she should be a galley slave for a year was excellent, but two chapters into the actual rowing and we read little about her thoughts. Of course she may be in too much pain and shock to have had time to think about what she has let herself into.
I agree with what some of the other reviewers say about the short chapters, a little longer would make them more enjoyable.
All in all a good story so far.
PART 6:
Somehow I do not "feel" her exhuastion and tiredness, a little more description about which muscles and limbs ached. Also a little confused how can she keep her hands and feet clean when she is chained to one place?
PART 7:
Another excellent chapter. My query as how she was to keep her hands and feet clean were nicely answered. Also there is a bit more about her aches and pains. Therefore i have now rated this a ten. (10/10)

This ia very good story and as far as the minor amount of eroticism involved i dont think it has any value in a story such as this. The eroticism is in the mind of the reader and my imagination was running wild and my own mind filled in the blank spaces. This story has a lot of potential and is only just starting to get interesting. I have to give it ten for the unusual and diferent content, with a good story line. (10/10)

I'm giving this a 9 despite a lack of what I'd call any particular eroticism as yet. The story is well-crafted and the concept interesting. The protagonist's struggle to first make the decision and then come to terms with the consequences of her choice are well done and believable. A bit more eroticism and less abrupt chapter endings and this would be a 10. As it is, I actively look for updates to this story whenever I come to the Library. Keep writing, you've more talent than a good many of the other contributors on the site.

Wonderful story, but agree that each installment is too short. Hope the precision of the language carries over into detailed descriptions of galley action/feel (9/10)

An excellent start, too short unfortunately, I expect the addition of part 2 will make it 10/10 (9/10)
