Is the dedicated pursuit of motherhood the ultimate masochism? This novella has some sex and bondage, but in a smaller quantity than some readers might like. You are warned. |

While I do reject Mindy's reasoning, the story was very well developed about her & her husband. (9/10)

Outstanding story. Much as I disliked the logic of the female protagonist and possibly of the author, I found the story utterly compelling. It was very well written and, thankfully, well-spelled and punctuated. A joy in that regard. I do however reject the assertion that I have not fulfilled my duty in not producing any children. As an aside, you are only the second person I have come across who knows of game theory. The other happens to be my beloved, who lectures on the subject! (10/10)

I want to give it a lower rating, but the prose of the story is simply too good to score any lower. I am OK with the content, I am OK with the writing, and I am OK with the rape. What I am not OK with is that the author so full of herself/himself and trying to stuff her/his stories with an agenda. The entire story has a tendentious quality underneath. Whatever its feminist agenda is, I realy don't give a fuck. The author can stop it now because it's not working (4/10)

In many ways i hate this story. The thought someone wants to have children so badly that love has nothing whatsoever to do with child production is anathma to me. Add to that she has no interest in the raising of the children seems to weird to be true. Having said all that, this is a well written story with very good characterisation. The drive to produce offspring is well nicely portrayed in a clinical and driven manner. This story reminds me of Neville Shute's "On The Beach". i did not like either this or Shute's stories and i definately do not intend to read them again, but i AM glad i did read them. Thgis story is worth more than the ten rating i gave it. (10/10)
