This was a hard story for me to finish; it is rare that I rate the quality of the writing (in terms of spelling, syntax,) higher than the ideas/imagination put forth. But I do here; the writing itself was of at least average quality, but the story was, to my taste, depressingly mean-spirited. The boss was indeed cruel -- and utterly without motivation. (4/10)
