The writing reveals that the author has invested a great deal of time and effort in this work. The attention to historical detail is superb and twice I was jolted out of my complacency when I thought the story was becoming predictable and the author threw a curve. Certainly highly recommendable to fans of wordsmithing or historical dramas. (8/10)

Classic bondage and torture. I liked the attn. to historical detail. . . there was just enough without overwhelming a very suspensful plot. The sexual tension/build-up was great! (10/10)

- Thank you, Frances. The kind words are much appreciated, especially coming from someone whose stories have such a distinctive literary flair.
I recommend both (so far) of Frances' stories on BDSMLIB to anyone who enjoys fine writing.

Very nice concept, excellent attention to detail. I have to disagree with Master C, the style of story telling is gripping. Far from jumping from one idea to another it integrates the story set up, with detailing the scene, and establishing the characters. I do not have much reading about Japanese rope bondage in my repertoire, I look forward to reading the additional chapters of this series. There are a few proofreading errors, such as had "taken take the happy" which can easily be corrected with additional proofreading. Well, done and worth reading. (8/10)

- Thank you for the kind words.
"Taken take the happy businessman to" -- yes the 'take' was a double-word error -- the hardest errors to catch (at least for me). I read the whole story through quickly again just now and STILL didn't see it -- I had to do a search on my own copy of the story to locate it. I HATE finding errors after they're posted -- In the first few parapraphs of JP II I typed 'ane' for 'cane'. ARGGGHHHH!!!! A lot of times I think those kinds of errors crop up in the 'final edit' -- one makes them when you're correcting the sense of a sentence. Otherwise you'd have caught them long before. I'm sure that I go over every chapter at least five times before I submit it. It's those changes in the last run-through that kill you. Once it's posted, what is one going to do? I think it's an imposition to ask Jinn to swap chapters to fix one or two errors -- especially if they are longish chapters, as mine tend to be. One just hopes that one's readers can tell the difference between a typo and an error of usage. Oh, well. C'est la vie. Thanks again! Boccaccio

I had a hard time getting past the first couple of paragraphs. To much bouncing from one subject to another. Hard to keep focused on the story line. Couldn't finish it because it was boring. (4/10)
