James Interesting story so far. Intrigued to see how it develops. Normally have mixed views about the very brutal stuff, part of me liking part hating. However the difference that the rather complacent ruling group doing all the abuse is making for an intriguing change. Not quite sure whether the force fighting back is relating to Lucia, the initial victim or something broader. Possibly the latter from the way it replaces another girl further done. Hope to see more. I read the first chapter when it was initially posted standalone. Micheal247 has fully described what I felt about it, so read his review below. Now that a second chapter has been posted, things are getting more varied and interesting. We got glimpses of secret societies, varied powers, mind controls and more straightforward sex. I'm interested to see where it goes from here. I hope we can get somewhat longer chapters. (7/10)

OKay...I read the first chapter when it first came out. I had the same thoughts as everyone else, but thought there must be a continuation of the story. My belief has been upheld with this chapter. The only criticism I can find is that chapter one a two should have been posted together with a 'to be continued' tacked on the end. Otherwise I have enjoyed this so far. Now let's see where we go from here. Amanda (6/10)

I'm kind of at a loss with this one. First of all, it was very brutal, with very few sexual overtones. I'm fine with slasher fiction, but really feel this story is HORROR, not BDSM fiction. The problem with posting non-erotic pieces is that you're missing your target audience. This story needs to be posted at like darkfetishnet.com. Not the BDSM Library. * *** Black Mirror is more of a vignette than a story. It takes a single snapshot in time: the brutal torture, rape, and murder of three girls. For some odd reason, the author brings us into the scene from an oblique angle, probably to provide some tension, as we are introduced to Alison while unnamed girl #1 is raped and killed. We then accompany Alison to a rather questionable table crucifixion. (Note to author: You don't hammer nails into the HANDS. You do it in the wrists. Otherwise the victim will just pull their hands free. Same with the ankles, and you turn those to the sides unless you do it high enough up.) Alison is then tortured, raped, and then, simply, executed. *** Then its Lucia's turn. Unlike Alison she keeps her mouth shut unless she's screaming and things are going well when suddenly... there is this world/universe shift and something happens and everyone watching the show is dead or dying, Lucia is free and is about to collect the Dominatrix/murderer's debt. Every single person who read this all went "WTF?" Yep. Totally whacked out. Seriously. What the fuck? Did half the story get left out like my fellow reviewer Snark states? Was there a Doctor Who like TIME SHIFT? It just makes no sense. *** All of this weirdness is painted however, with a pretty decent brush. It's as if you had an artist, with pretty decent skill, painting a picture of an ugly woman. Who wants to look at that? And yet, the skill in which the ugly woman is painted, as some recognizable quality. Grammar and sentence structure were decent and I didn't feel like I was stuck in a demonic fifth grade language class while reading it. *** Another plus: there is some recognizable creativity here. The author, Mr. James Winter, obviously has the mojo to create compelling worlds, and even does a pretty good job in collecting those images into a story. This gives me hope for further stories from this author. As it is however, the focus on the Slasher aspect, combined with the strange "jump" in the linear plot line, skews this story sharply down. That said, I think it could be repaired. Maybe there IS a missing part. A quick update may be all that is required to jack this up to an eight. *** I personally would have loved more of a sexual component. I'm not saying take out the torture. That's fine. But linger... make sure the reader FEELS what's going on. Describe the look on Alison's face with detail. Describe how her neck arches as the pain... *** Sorry. Got carried away. In any event, this story had a bit going for it and can be repaired into something worthwhile. I look forward to this author's next submission. ** *Yours Faithfully, Michael Alexander (www.michaelalexanderstories.com) (5/10)

The writing is okay...but where is the story? There is a beginning and an end. The rating reflects the amount of story that was posted. (4/10)
