Breanne travels to the Windy City to meet up with an online dom who only has her best interests in mind as he inflicts a weekend’s worth of sexual torture on her young and nubile body. How long can Breanne stand the torments and will the introduction of another young lady who wants to follow in Breanne’s footsteps be a hindrance or a blessing? |

I want to say that I submitted this work as a .txt file to the BDSM Library fools. I have absolutely no idea why their web designer can't successfully translate the quotation marks into appropriate symbols, so let me apologize. Worse, it doesn't work in Safari, Firefox, OR IE. Trust me, I'll be complaining shortly. (6/10)

- Now you're being hard on yourself --unfair even-- by granting only one point because the script of the website doesn't agree with some punctuation marks. I know that it's a bit 'not done' to review ones own stories, but "The Trip" merits a better treatment, even by its own author... especially when it's not the author's doing that things turned pear shaped.

- I just didn't want to skew the rating, Jimmy. If I give it a one, no one can accuse me of trying to artificially jack the number of stars I'm given. I'm still waiting on the webmaster to email me back.

- Tiger, the webmaster here at the BDSM Library was able to fix the problem with the quotation marks. Evidently it was a server problem and they were unaware of it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

- Michael, the convention (on this site at least) is to give yourself the average score among existing reviews. Better yet is to obviate the necessity by posting a reply to an existing review. In the event that there is only one (or, perish the thought, no) previous reviews, the author has carte blanche, though it may be considered tacky by some to give yourself a score above '8'. Your mileage may vary.

- Curtis. Thank you. I DID move it up to six :)

The story was enjoyable enough, but the "go to my website to read the rest" killed my desire to read the rest. (6/10)

- You rated it a six? I see extraordinary content no longer matters. Currently the BDSM Library attracts visitors to their website, which slams us with advertisements and asks us to become paid members to have access to a bunch of other services at a cost by posting our submitted fiction. They get our stories for FREE. We don't get paid to allow them to use the stories. Which means that the BDSM Library uses donations to encourage people to come to the website and build traffic with the hope that those visitors will also become paying members. There is no quality control at the BDSM Library, which means you are just as likely (if not more likely) to get crap than you are to get quality erotic fiction. Well, anything you get for free is worth what you pay for it. If you like browsing through hundreds of stories looking for that gem, than please continue to do so. I'm no longer giving out my work for free... or at least... not as much. My membership site has a wide variety of never before read short stories, two erotic novels, one of which is a choose your own destiny novel, fresh art, inside glimpses, and more. There is even a second author at Michael Alexander Stories. I offer an amazing product for the price, especially when compared to other erotic fiction authors out there. So the real question is do you like Michael Alexander stories enough that you WANT to read more? Hmmm... maybe I SHOULD post Chapter 2. It has a bit more kick. Something to consider. Yours Faithfully, Michael Alexander (www.michaelalexanderstories.com)

Often, the difference between a so-so story and a really good one, is the way the author approaches his/her subject. Providing, of course, that there's enough writing skill there to pull off the story in the first place. That Michael Alexander has the skill is not an issue, neither are most of his approaches. Although there's nothing 'out of the ordinary' about "The Trip", the story still stands out thanks to the aformentioned skill in portraying the different characters and their interaction. The depth of the characters is what 'saves' the story in some places --areas where other, lesser, authors would go off the rails are kept on track by Michael Alexander through his descriptions and/or inner musings/conversations. That there's little nuisances here and there (like the use of 'bit tad' or 'nodded' in three consecutive short paragraphs) do nothing to take away the reading pleasure. An ordinary story about less ordinary people told in an extraordinary fashion. I'll be here when episode 2 is being delivered. JJ (9/10)

- Jimmy, thanks for the review. I really appreciate it. Hope you don't mind, but I re-posted it on my blog as well. Anything that helps my ego is a good thing.
Unfortunately, you might have a long wait to get chapter two. It's written of course, but its only available in the VIP LOUNGE on my website. So if it really is an ordinary story about less ordinary people told in an extraordinary fashion, you'll have to go there to get the rest. *** Yours Faithfully, Michael Alexander (www.michaelalexanderstories.com)
