Dear IOpan and JimmyJump perhaps she has been raised in a strict Roman Catholic family and was not supposed to look at her body when she bathed? Just a thought, but i do agree it does happen rather a lot in this type of fiction. Someone is playing a differeant form of poker than i am used to, what happened to bluffing your opponent - oh of course she wanted to lose right from tthe outset. Still it is a good story. i look forward to reading more about the weekend, and other weekends? (9/10)

- Thank you Dryhill although I must admit being Wiccan for the past 33 years Susan's Catholic upbringing comes as a bit of a shock to me, but stranger things have happened, lol. I must say that having played two person strip poker I don't find bluffing to be much of an option.
Although I agree that it isn't a very good literary device, at my age I must work diligently to maintain a good body weight and the sembalence of a physique. Do you mean to say I am the only one who occasionally sneeks an admiring peek in the mirror? What a vain and depraved creature I must be, but I'm ok with that. Thank you again Dryhill.

- A decade ago there was a survey conducted, the results of which were that approximately half of the Wiccans polled claimed (confessed?) to be practicing Catholics at the same time. They said that catholicism met their need for ceremony, which was notably lacking in their Wiccan spiritual life.
All the Wiccans I know are Quakers.

I loved the story. The only problem was it ended. I would love to see a part 2 or more with what happens. Well done. (9/10)

Everytime an author drags his female lead in front of a full-length mirror for the benefit of giving the reader a bodily description of the female in question, I half expect the woman to shout to her creator "leave me alone!! I know what I look like"... Because, let's face it, it always seems as if the girl sees herself for the first time, while I presume she showers/bathes at least once per day and consequently sees herself umpteen times as well... Anyway, my own little annoyances aside, I very much liked "Three Queens". Well written, to the point and with a decent plot, the story was a delight to read. Just tap into that vat called 'imagination' when it comes to ways of describing your character's attributes, please. Thank you. JJ (9/10)

- Thank you for the insight, on reflection it is a rather poor device and one I've caught myself using in another, as yet, unpublished story. Thank you also for your kind words.
