This story is much too consensual for my liking, and though there's a punishment theme running through the plot, the actual pain and cruelty is just two paragraphs - the belt whupping and the nipple clamp tightening. Of course the belt whupping is very well written (not the wishy-washy stuff like in noel), but there's too little of it. (7/10)

OMG this is written by a professional writer. "And her rump stuck up and out like--well, like sin itself.Temptation. It's pure temptation sticks out like that, every time, and it takes a special kind of man to resist it. Most of us can't, not all the time anyway, and it'll always get you in trouble. Every time. It sure did for me, eventually." God, Pamela, why don't you compile all your short stories in one and publish it. (10/10)

Unlike for instance "Pool Party" this story is just about perfect. There is a real story. All the characters are 100% believable. There's no 100% bad guy or 100% good guy in the story. The narrators girlfriend and Ramsey get a revenge that really, really hurts. It's inventive, fun, heck, it's breathtaking. And it's oh, so american :-P I mean, several of the reactions would never come from people with some other cultural background. The story screams rural america in a way that even us here in europe can't overlook. I simply don't have the words of praise that this story deserve. Now, that being said, it's not my favorite story on this site. But that is not because it's not as good or possibly better then the stories I like better but because of personal taste on my part. As far as writing-skills and general quality it's easily at the very top of the list on this page. Thank you very much for writing this story and good luck onwards. Poor narrator.. I feel bad about him... (as far as I'm concerned he did only two things that's wrong, cheating on his girlfriend with the wife of his mate, and not walking out with dignity when he had the chance) Still, the story wouldn't have been the tenth of it's current quality if it ended up as a happily ever after story for everyone involved (including the narrator) (10/10)

The voices are dead on, especially Josh but all of them, rural/country/mountain folk. All the way through, I heard dueling banjos. Great writing. (10/10)

Ok, I missed this one when it first came out. When I checked the author's posting I realized that she is one I have admired for many more years than I (and probably she) would like to admit. Very well written, very well edited. Great concept, nice twist, wonderful eroticism...in short a great story from a very kinky imagination. The first person colliquial perspective draws the reader in and associates with the main character. His personal sense of protectionism without the necessary testicular demonstrative support leaves him wanting in more ways than one. PLEASE write more...and more often! (10/10)

Pamela has been writing erotica for, most likely, longer than I have, and better. Pamela is a master of writing submissive women, and Montan Man is no different. (10/10)

It doesn't get much better than this on this site. Original and well written. I hope there is a sequel and perhaps a prequel. (10/10)

Beautifully written tale from the, often very funny, standpoint of Josh, the narrator. The way pamela makes Josh recount the happenings is a treat for readers of any kind of fiction. The word "Masterpiece" springs to mind, but, to be honest, that word sounds cheap --because often overused-- around stories by pamela, especially this one (although I should re-read all of her other pledgings to be able to be conclusive about that). Excellent setting of the mood, superb painting of the simple yet colorful locals, magnificent conversations and inner musings and all-round fabulous storytelling, make "Montana Man" a must read and a story that should be sitting in print on your shelf. Even not in print, I'm gonna add it to mine anyway. A fantastic piece of work, pamela! JJ (10/10)
