Actually, I think this is one of the better written stories of it's Genre. Descriptions are good, imagery is clear, (spelling is corrrrect! imagine that ...) and well ... it's just a great fantasy ... I don't have any hang up about Allene's personality, as I've never encountered her before ... besides, I wasn't looking for deep character development, or multifaceted psychology. Two thumbs up ... probably 8.5 (8/10)

Nothing special about this story except for the use of Allene as the victim. In most of Allene's stories she's an unabashed masochist when you cut to the chase, here she isn't. Your Allene certainly is not brave nor proud of her ability to absorb punishment. This defeats the purpose of your story. On the plus side you do seem able to write fairly clean, descriptive prose. I'd like to see more of your work in the future. (6/10)
