Negotiating over pie. He wants to meet me, someplace safe. Someplace public, where I can run if I have to, where I can scream and help will come. Is there such a place I wonder? |

"Of Sand And PIPERS" is an excellent work. Ms Ross (it's author) is obviously blessed with gift for description. What I like best about the story was the convincing way Rachael has her protagonist describe her feelings and actions. When you read 95% of "erotic stories" you have the feeling that the author is only guessing at how an erotic, or sado-masochistic experience would feel, IF it weren't purely a figment of his or her imagination. But with Rachael's work, her descriptions "really do feel real." One example from the many might be her description of how she felt sitting in the bath "as the scabs fell off and the fresh pink skin was revealed." ( An illusion that the protagonist in the (mildly S and M) movie "The Secretary" also made. I happened on this story, as I was searching for the story "Turning Japanese." (reportedly written by Rachael) Surtea said that she had expanded on it, when she drafted her excellent story "Milky." Thank you Rachael for this contribution. If you have a chance to re-post "Turning Japanese" I would love to read it. I sadly notice that you haven't contributed a work to our forum for the last several years. As a departing thought, to paraphrase what Clarice said to Dr. Lector "Maybe you should turn that gifted mind of yours inward again." Quid Pro Quo, Rachel...Quid Pro Quo! (10/10)

There's lots of writers out there, sweating in front of an old-fashioned typewriter, or a computer screen, cursing and banging away to cram every minute detail into a story that will never get anywhere. And when the story does get somewhere, it's only to that place in the author's mind, that place where self-satisfaction nods in praise at the shambles just put to paper/screen/whatever. Those writers are the wannabe's. The ones who are sure they've got it. But they don't. The only thing they've got are delusions. Then, there's the writers who, with broad slashes, splat words on a blank page, like some outrageous painter does, with dripping brushes, waving that arm and splat-splat-splat throwing fat wet lines unto a canvas. What they're doing doesn't seem to amount to much, but when the painting is finished, you can clearly see a landscape or still-life in the seemingly mess. Those are the ones that know. Those are the artists. Rachael Ross belongs to the latter. What she does here, brings to the fore, is art. Simple as that. With rough strokes, she paints us a picture of such sharp detail, such outlined characters, that you have what I call a "Being John Malkovich" moment. Meaning, that, right from the start, you are inside a person's head, Lisa, seeing her world unfold before your eyes, but through hers. Sensing her also, feeling her struggle with her inner demons, giving in, having second thoughts, going along. Surrendering. Meaningless broad strokes, coming together to form an extraordinary landscape, or that still-life. Like I said. Art. JJ (10/10)

I have struggled in my own stories to find the words to describe the physical and emotional joy in submission, Ms Ross captures it completely. The writing was excellent throughout, the story was well paced and the characters and scenario very real. Thank you. (10/10)

The writing is truly beautiful - it seems to just be flowing out of a beautiful head. The scene portrayed appears to be depicting my own imagination. Miss Ross, if you are ever looking for a partner - call me! (10/10)

So realistic and strangely compelling. I have tried on this site to get a ten and never accomplished (getting some 9s and great comments) it, but this to me deserves its tens. Very much quality writing and fascinating scening. I truly liked the ending where he is with her as she comes down from the scene. One of my favorite parts of scening. I do think it is even better if you truly are in love with your little girl. (10/10)
