heycarrieanne asks for more background detail. While it wouldn't harm the story, I on the other hand feel that those aren't needed, as there's enough depth to the characters and richness in the conversations/musings of Alice to make the story stand tall as it is.
Add to the aformentioned some excellent writing and we've got us a neat little story.
Well done, Alice Parker.

The more I read this collection of stories -- and I do think each one contributes to the others -- I find myself more and more drawn into their world. There is a harshness but also a palpable reality to their interactions. Well done -- whenever I finish one story, I want to read the next with a greater urgency. (9/10)

This story was great enjoyed reading it from start to finish (so far i hope). I could really believe the senario. (9/10)

This story hit a home run. Very hot and interesting and one of the best I've seen around here in a few months. Great job! (9/10)

Background? We don't need no stinking background! This story is the background for a forthcoming party story. It's jerkoff material, and it's good. No 'slow' codes needed with this one. (8/10)

Phew! Seriously hot story. Wet! Nicely developed with lots of little pointers to the action to come which help raise the anticipation (and temperature!). How soon do we get to hear about the party? (9/10)
