A military regime somewhere in Africa. Young Samantha Lewis gets entangled in the affairs of her friend and host, Jenny Ondougu when Jenny is taken in for questioning by Internal Security. All those stories about the routine use of electrical torture by such regimes turn out to be agonisingly true for both women |

"The Wooden Chair" is one more of my favourites... Yes, I just love these modern settings, the interrogation plot and the military prison environment and the electro torture of course... The victimn's terror slowly developing, the torture slowly getting more and more severe... Cortez is a master at that. I personally think he makes them better than the stories from ancient times, even though they are very exciting as well. I'm not usually a friend of stories about torturing two girls together; I believe their vulnerability increases by being lonely with the torturer/s. But sometimes it works, as in this story. Thanks for the effort to write for us Cortez!! Cortez, as you wrote that you welcome ideas, I found a description of what took place in Villa Grimaldi in Chile back in the '70 that I'd like to share with you. Besides from the fact that it actually happened (which is disgusting), I find it useful in a fantasy story: "Within Villa Grimaldi there were rooms specifically designed for torture. Some agents applied different methods of torture and others, usually officials, conducted the interrogations. The latter sometimes also personally applied the torture. In some cases, during interrogations with or without torture, another person would take notes with a typewriter. The most common torture method was electrical shock, consisting of a metal rack to which the naked prisoner was tied and then electrical current would be applied to different parts of his or her body, especially the most sensitive areas such as the lips or genitals or even on wounds or metallic prostheses. One particularly cruel variation of this method consisted in further pressuring the subject of interrogation by placing him on the bottom rack of a double bunk bed and torturing a family member or friend above him." The idea of a 30 something mother in the bottom bed and her teenage daughter on the topfloor of the bunk bed excites me a lot and gives the author possibilties to concentrate both on the tortured daughter and on the mentally suffering, though naked, mother. (May I suggest them to be hairy...? :-D ) I have also thought about a story about a torture school, where electrical torture is performed rather clinically and without cause, other than educational reasons. Hope you like the ideas and find them useful! Rgds, /Electrosadist/ elesado@hotmail.com (10/10)

- Thank you for taking time to write, and for providing a review for 'The Log' as well. Ideas always welcome...at present I'm completing another tale set in the brutal Sultanate of Mantok but Africa beckons in the future. Glad you find the stories exciting...

Like most of his stories, the wooden chair is a must read to all torture & interrogation addicts. I can't wait to read more Cortez. (10/10)

Very brutal-I like! Loved the bit with the girl getting tortured, completely helpless even to give the torturer what he wants - Dominance with a vengeance! (9/10)

- Unfortunately I have no access to the illustrations used with my stories posted on another site. However, I'm more than happy to consider writing the text to support a picture story. Like the current Powerone tale, Aries has also illustrated a number of my stories over the years and done a great job.

I'm a big fan of your Juanita/Maria series. As I was reading this I thought it should've been a continuation of that series rather than try to stand on its own. Still, this one is very well done, with good dialogue, good interaction between torturer and victim, strong imagery, and a nice pace. Good job, sir! (10/10)

- I know that I use similar characters in many stories but I don't like those endless episodic series that run on and on. I will return to Colonel Marcos and his activities from time to time just as I intend to go back to either the tortured history or the present day cruelties of the Sultanate of Mantok.
Of course, should anyone out there have ideas or suggestions that I might use...I'd be only to delighted to read them. Many thanks for your interest and support. Cortez
