The author obviously never worked with a blowtorch and has no idea how steel reacts when heated.
The whole concept of the nailing to wood and turning the nails into large rivets afterwards is ludicrous and unfeasable without burning off the victim's hands.
The rest of the story (based on a rather misty murder) is in the same vein: a nice effort, but poorly executed.

the story is well-detailed but I find it hard to understand all the mechanical torture stuffs. the torture ideas were too long, too technical and hard to imagine visually. A simple ( wrist tied behind back ) alway work because it's easy to imagine in your head then you can go on with the story. (7/10)

If there had some more hands-on treatment of Jennifer, this story would have been given a 10 by me. It was good reading, and the author made me believe the situation. But, as I said, I would have liked a bit more hands-on. A little more human torture, as opposed to all this mechanical torture.
Still, a great read. (8/10)

Good premise, well developed. Writing is clear and flows, keeping reader in the story. Creative ideas. Anxious for more. (8/10)

Fairly brutal -- and likely to become more so.
(Not that there's anything necessarily wrong
with that.) It needed some ruthless editing;
the description of the action tends to be too
detailed and should be cut (and the pace picked
up). The other main problem is that the reader
is given no reason to like (or empathize with)
any of the characters. (6/10)

An intriguing beginning. I am curious to see where this goes next. The writer makes interesting use of magical realism, and looks to be other than the stereotypical bdsm story. (7/10)
