I've read this story a few times, the descriptions and the sensuality in terms of the intimate narrative of Linda's suffering is fantastic. If I have a gripe, the electrically-induced orgasm is a little far-fetched and I have to skip that part, but overall it's one of the best written and most powerful stories of its type. The ending is fantastic! (9/10)

The right combination of words to rouse the interest of most men. Imaginative. The story is not too long and keps moving. I intend to read the rest of your posted stories Cortez. Thank you for sharing your talents. (9/10)

This was the first story ever from Cortez that I read, at RPP:s site. It is still my favourite. It opened a new world for me. I have written some stories on the similar fetish myself (one of them posted here at The Library) but I don't by any means have the skill to use the language as Cortez has. It is fascinating how he/she uses the words to create that feeling of utter cruelty and helplessness for the victim, the feeling that is oh so extremely arousing for sadists by heart, like me... And I don't think, like other who gives reviews, that everything has to be explained in the story. It's even more exciting when some questions may be unanswered, open to the mind of the reader to answer themselves... Cortez, please continue to write stories, you inspire others to write as well. I am very grateful for what you have given just by writing those delicate stories... I have not written anything myself in a long time but will try to produce at least one or two short stories soon. (I have some ideas of interrogation stories, containing electrotorture of course, and anyone wanting to write may share them with me.) Cortez, I also like it when you revice or prolong the stories, like you did with this one. Can you please do more of that between the new stories? Best greetings from Electrosadist elesado@hotmail.com (10/10)

- Many thanks for your kind remarks.I owe you a debt of thanks because it was reading a(then uncredited) version of your South American Interrogation story that started me off down this particular road. There will be other stories to come but like all of us who have to earn a living too...sometimes the time and space to sit and write is difficult to find. I find you tend to get disapproving looks from the nosey ones in the next seat as you write using a laptop on trains for example...ah well!
Again, there will be more and many thanks for the comments. Cortez

- Thanks Cortez for the good news! And if you need ideas and a proof reader (well I know you don't need either, I just try to get a sneak peep at the upcoming lovely stories...), you know my e-mailadress... :-))) /E

The only thing that would have taken this from 9 to 10 in my eyes would have been more about the boy the day before... Oh, and generally more Perez, less Marcos. A bit about the general context, at some point, would be nice -- perhaps a prequel to al the Marcos/Perez stories explaining who they work for and why they are "licensed to torture". That's only minor curiosity talking though -- given the choice between more stories like this and background I'd probably choose more like this. (9/10)

I can't believe how many Cortez stories I failed to read, or at the least to review. This one is another outstanding entry in his corpus. Well worth reading, indeed! (9/10)

- Apologies, I haven't replied to all your reviews since I hadn't realised you were working through all the currently posted stories. I think i have some twenty or thirty more yet to be posted but some need combining and other, older work, needs revisiting, revising and extending before I post the stories. Once again than you very much for your comments and obvious enthusiasm for my work

The digression in which Lt. Perez remembers the boy from the day before almost kicked this up to a '9', but a mis-spelling and a missing word from a sentence knoecked it back down. I'm surprised (and a little disappointed) that this story doesn't continue from the last Col. Marcos story. The only suggestion I have for the future is that when you get around to continuing that story, you 'assemble' the parts of it into one story of many parts, rather than many seperate stories, as it stands now. I realize that each of these stories can stand on its own, but it makes trying to read it in an organized manner a pain in my fundament. (8/10)

This story, on its merits, is probably worth an 8. What Cortez does, he does very, very well.
But in this story, as in others, the characterization is thinly brushed and once again the story is, um, sparked, largely by electrolysis, which Cortex describes beautifully, but, well, for me a little electrolysis goes a long way. So in a sense I'm grading this story down because it is so similar to some of his others (which also depended on students "attending" the Electro-ral College of Marcos and Perez. Two other (easily rectified) little things -- in the synopsis, the heroine is identified as Linda Chou; in the story she is Linda Cho. Secondly, one wonders why Hispanic villains are torturing a student of Korean (or perhaps Chinese) extraction. I am all for torturing beautiful Asian women at every possible opportunity, :-) but a word of explanation on that score might give the story a bit more verisimilitude. For example, her parents emigrated to whichever country employs the wicked Cortex, she is attending college overseas or whatever.
But as always with Cortex, the sentence-to-sentence writing is very fine indeed. His excellent use of language, his freedom from grammatical errors and his sustained intensity are all models for aspiring writers.
(7/10)

Writing skills are very good, but the session is somewhat lacking in variety for the victim and the reader. (5/10)
